Jardim vertical como solução sustentável para agricultura urbana
Vertical farming has emerged as a promising solution for sustainable urban agriculture, particularly in areas with limited space. This technique enables the continuous production of a variety of crops, overcoming environmental constraints and contributing to food security. Moreover, vertical farming systems can reduce carbon emissions and water consumption while increasing productivity per square metre.
This study aims to assess the feasibility and sustainability of vertical farming in compact urban spaces. A comparative analysis will be conducted between vertical and horizontal farming systems, examining parameters such as plant growth rates, water use efficiency, and overall productivity. The findings are expected to provide empirical evidence to support public policies and agricultural practices that promote sustainability and biodiversity in urban environments.
